BAKUMATSU

This fashion video was a college assignment created during Erasmus in Hamburg, Germany. The designer curated a unique style of the Japanese samurai. Bakumatsu (Ba-ku-mat-su) refers to the final years of the Edo period when the Tokugawa shogunate (the last feudal Japanese military government) ended. The concept of the video portrays two warriors (red and blue) in conflict with each other but they are truly fighting against themselves.
