Tessy Ehiguese is a Dublin-based beauty, fashion, and portrait photographer and lens-based artist. Originally from Nigeria and raised in Dublin, her practice is shaped by a deep commitment to community, identity, and representation, producing work that is as compelling to commercial clients as it is able to appeal to culture and community.
Holding a BA in Creative Digital Media (specialising in Photography and Multimedia Production) from the Technological University of Dublin, Tessy works fluidly across portraiture, editorial, documentary, fashion, beauty, music, and e-commerce photography. A clean, bold, and graphic visual style has become the hallmark of her work one that draws on graphic design, fine art, and traditional photography to produce images that are both captivating and thought-provoking.
Her commercial clients span fashion, beauty, music, and e-commerce, and her editorial work has appeared in IMAGE Magazine, Hot Press, ALHAUS, The Independent Weekend Magazine, Dublin Live, and more. Recent commissions include a portrait of author Zainab Boladale for Looking for Aurora (The Educational Company of Ireland, 2026), and the inclusion of Claire Garvey's wearable art collection in the 2026 Leaving Certificate Art Combined Exam Papers.
Among her notable projects is Diversity in Dublin, a socially engaged photography commission produced in partnership with Creative Ireland, Photo Museum Ireland, and Dublin City Council, a body of work that celebrates the richness of contemporary Irish life and the diverse communities that shape the city. This project reflects the heart of Tessy's broader practice: amplifying underrepresented voices and creating spaces where people are seen on their own terms.
Her work has been exhibited at Photo Museum Ireland, Dublin Castle, Draíocht Blanchardstown, Hen's Teeth Gallery, TON Gallery, The Library Project, and in public billboard campaigns across Dublin. She has also led photography workshops with organisations including Dublin City Council Arts Office, Photo Museum Ireland, Axis Arts Centre Ballymun, and The Glencree Centre for Peace & Reconciliation.
Whether in a studio, a gallery, a classroom, or on the pages of a magazine, Tessy brings the same creative rigour and collaborative spirit, making work that resonates across both commercial and cultural spaces.
